BIBLE HEROES

Bible Heroes have their faith stories written in the Bible.

They are people who knew God’s love for them. Bible Heroes loved God, had a relationship with Him, obeyed Him, served people.

This week we have 2 HEROES! Mordecai and Esther

QUESTION 1:

What made Esther a hero? Take 1 minute to think about your answer.

Esther was a hero because she risked her life and could have been killed. She placed the needs of the Jewish people first and that was UNSELFISH.

QUESTION 2:

What made Mordecai a hero? Take 1 minute to think about your answer.

Mordecai was a hero because he took care of orphan Esther. He put Esther’s needs first and that was UNSELFISH.

What does UNSELFISH mean? It’s taking care of the needs of others before our own. It’s a choice to be kind to others even when we don’t feel like it.

QUESTION 3:

What kinds of things can you do at home that are UNSELFISH? Think of 5 things and practice them during the week.

EXERCISE 1:

One thing we know is that God took care of the heroes in the Bible.

Last week we saw that God kept Noah, his family, and the animals safe in the ark, And this week we see that God protected Esther and Mordecai & all the Jewish people in Persia.

God is always with you too! Take some time in prayer…. thanking God for taking care of you!

EXERCISE 2:

Build a palace with pillows, blankets, and other fun things. Once you have it all finished up…. Grab your Bible, sit in your palace and read the book of Esther.

BIBLE VERSE:

Take some time to read over these verses and memorize them!

From Last Week: 1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.

For this Week: Philippians 2:3-5 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

May Holy Spirit remind you & help you to be a hero this week by being UNSELFISH! AMEN
