What Can I Learn From A Christian Clown!?
Exercise 1:
Is there someone in your life you admire? What is one thing about them that you admire?
Exercise 2:
What is ONE THING in your life you practice doing? It could be a sport, an instrument, or a different activity. Do you have days when you do NOT FEEL LIKE practicing? I think we all have days like that!
If you watched our video this week, you saw those FUNNY clowns! They were imitating the circus, and WOW they will need a lot more practice, right?
Exercise 3:
Do you admire Jesus? Tell Him in prayer ALL the things you admire about Him.
Think of 5 things you can do to imitate Jesus. It could be things like…obeying your parents or sharing with your siblings. Choose 2 that are more difficult for you and you know you need to practice.
Practice, practice, practice. The more we practice…. the more we will become like Jesus.
Exercise 4:
Today I want to share some AWESOME verses that talk about imitating Jesus. He has commanded us to live our lives by His example! Take some time to read these verses & memorize a few!
Ephesians 5:1-2 Imitate God, therefore in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
John 13:12-15 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. If I then, the Lord and Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.
3 John 1:11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God;
1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
