Executive Assistant
Gospel Mission Church is seeking a competent, committed and creative individual to help the Executive team address administrative and logistical needs. This role is critical to the effective functioning of church operations and requires a person of strong character, discretion and spiritual maturity.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Help manage GMC’s calendars
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining weekly, seasonal and annual calendars
- Assist with financial processing and planning
- Donation processing and reporting
- Annual budget creation
- Assist with event planning and execution (church and staff events)
- Church events (e.g. Volunteer Huddle)
- Staff events/outings (e.g. Christmas party)
- Assist with communication
- Help coordinate and communicate church events, calendar changes, policy changes/implementations, …
- Assist with policy research, creation, implementation and maintenance
- Help draft, edit and manage internal documents & policies
- Provide support for executive-led classes
- Help with logistics for GMC-led classes (class materials, set up, hosting, clean up, followup, …)
- Assist with HR tasks as needed
- Assist with other church administration/logistical needs as they arise
Qualifications, Expectations & Abilities
- Must have an acute attention for detail, organization and time management.
- Able to problem-solve and think analytically.
- Able to function with interruptions.
- Education and/or experience preferred.
- Proficient with office software (e.g. Microsoft office, Apple, Google Workspace)
- Proactive and able to initiate, organize, prioritize, plan strategically, meet deadlines, work independently, motivate self and multi-task with grace and professionalism.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing needs.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and abilities.
- High level of discretion, integrity, trustworthiness, and faithfulness.
- Enjoy being in a people related environment and working as a team.
- Be spiritually mature, humble, servant-hearted.
- Lead as a servant-leader: serving, caring for and empowering people.
- Pray for and support GMC’s executive team.
