Part-time or Full-time Staff Position for Gospel Mission Church Morden 

(application deadline is Sunday March 10, 2024) 

Gospel Mission Church Morden is seeking a competent, committed and creative individual to join the staff team.  

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

● Grow Kids Ministry

  • Lead the ministry and build a team. 
  • Recognize and recruit potential leaders, creating a platform for ministry multiplication. 
  • Prepare curriculum and set up rooms each week as needed.

● Office / Administration

  • Answer and direct calls and emails as needed during office hours. 
  • Manage and maintain in-house church calendar. 
  • Manage and maintain website as needed.
  • Create bulletin each week.
  • Create online bulletin each week. 
  • Social media and other creative duties. 
  • Assist campus pastor with other administrative duties as needed.

Other Potential Functions and Responsibilities

● Weekend Service 

  • Assist with coordinating ministry.
  • Build and manage teams (greeters, ushers, info center, cafe etc.)   
  • Prepare propresentor computer with worship lyrics, video etc. 
  • General Tech support

● Child Care

  • Lead the ministry and build a team.

● Life groups / Community / Discipleship

  • Assist in developing the life-group ministry.
  • Assist in developing Community and Discipleship 

Qualifications, Expectations & Abilities

Be creative and innovative, desiring to learn more. 

Strong attention to detail. 

Able to initiate, organize, prioritize, plan strategically, meet deadlines, work independently, motivate self, multi-task.

Ability and confidence in interpersonal, verbal and written communication. 

Able to coordinate and lead a team.

Enjoy being in a people related environment and working as a team.

Lead as a servant-leader: serving, caring for and empowering people.

Ability to work with people of various temperaments, gifts, passions, and backgrounds. 

Have a warm, open, fun and positive personality.

Must be emotionally, relationally and spiritually healthy (marriage, home etc.)

Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion (church information, ministry information, personal contract and benefits, etc.).

Fully agree with, model, and propagate GMC’s values, practices and culture.

Be in full support of and alignment with all of GMC’s policies, statements, procedures and handbook.
